Democrats Couldn’t Organize a One-Monkey Circus, says Mike Huckabee on Todd Starnes Show
Former Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee torched the Democrat Party on Monday for their inability to tally results of last week’s caucus in Iowa.
“This is unbelievable,” he told The Todd Starnes Show. “These are the Democrats who want to run the country. They couldn’t honestly organize a two-car funeral, a one-monkey circus, boil an egg, or take a simple show of hands and make a phone call to tell them how many people raised their hand.”

“They don’t know how to count a show of hands there,” he told Starnes. Listen to Huckabee’s entire radio interview here.
“President Trump beats any of these folks,” said Huckabee, a two-time presidential candidate. “[Democrats] certainly don’t look to have anyone on that stage that’s even close to standing with him for more than one debate, much less going the distance.”
Huckabee added that “if New Hampshire melts down like this, and they’re still counting votes a month from now, the Democrats might as well just say ‘We just cannot get a candidate.’”
The Democrat party may be better off passing the torch to DNC leaders to choose a candidate, Huckabee said. “It may be their best bet.”
While candidates Bernie Sanders and Pete Buttigieg have both declared victory in Iowa, updated results show Buttigieg holding a slim lead at 14 delegates and Sanders at 12.
Huckabee said he believes the DNC is in cahoots against Sanders just as they were in 2016 when they favored Hillary Clinton.
“I’m not sure that he would have won [the nomination], but the Democrat power circle certainly made sure Bernie wasn’t going to be competitive past a certain point. They needed to get Hillary coronated and be done with it.”
In the 2020 election, the “same thing is happening all over again,” he told Starnes. “And you’d love to say to the Bernie people, “Are you tired of being a Democrat yet?’”
“Let [Trump] clean out the sewer that Washington has become,” Huckabee added.
