Legal experts see red flags in the alleged suicide of convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.
The depraved and morally corrupt millionaire financier reportedly hanged himself with a bed sheet over the weekend in a New York City jail cell where he was charged with sex crimes.
“I suspect it will be a case of suicide,” Fox News legal analyst Gregg Jarrett told The Todd Starnes Show. “But you need a calculator to configure the protocols broken by the Metropolitan Correction Center.”
Jonathan Gilliam, a former FBI agent and author of Sheep No More, mentioned reports of someone screaming.
“I’ve never heard of a hanging man scream,” said Gilliam.
Jarrett, author of the upcoming book, Witch Hunt, acknowledged “suspicious circumstances” beginning with the sudden removal of Epstein’s cellmate.
“How do you take a guy off suicide watch who had recently been suspected of attempting suicide?” Jarrett asked.
Jarrett said it will be important to see video from cameras outside the cell.
“From what I understand this is the first suicide they’ve had in history or the first in a long time,” said Gilliam.
Attorney General William Barr issued a statement saying he was “appalled” by Epstein’s death. The warden of the jail has been reassigned and two staffers assigned to Epstein’s cell have been placed on administrative leave. Both the Justice Department and FBI are investigating Epstein’s death.
