Hello Americans, I’m Todd Starnes. Stand by for news and commentary next.
Kevin McCarthy raised eyebrows among conservatives when he told reporters that he did not intend to impeach President Biden.
“I think the country doesn’t like impeachment used for political purposes at all,” McCarthy (R-CA) told Punchbowl News. “If anyone ever rises to that occasion, you have to, but I think the country wants to heal and … start to see the system that actually works.”
McCarthy further stated that he did not see that Biden had committed any impeachable acts.
“I don’t see it before me right now,” he said.
How about the part of the oath of office about protecting our nation from all enemies foreign and domestic? What about opening up the southern border and allowed millions of illegals to invade our nation? What about shoving the nation down the path to World War III?
Not to mention the sordid scandals surrounding his son Hunter — and the allegations that President Biden was known in the family as the Big Guy.
“You watch what the Democrats did,” he added. “They all came out and said they would impeach before Trump was ever sworn in. There wasn’t a purpose for it. If you spent all that time arguing against using impeachment for political purposes, you gotta be able to sustain exactly what you said.”
Republicans have been down this path before and it always ends in disaster. Instead of honoring the commitments they made to voters, GOP leadership capitulates and compromises.
But there can be no more compromise. We are sending Republicans to Washington with a specific agenda — stop the radical progressives from turning our country into a Communist wasteland.
We are in a fight for the soul of our nation. Now is not the time for faint-hearted Republicans. We need conservatives whose bite is just as ferocious as their bark.
The next Republican Speaker of the House needs to be a pitbull. But McCarthy is no pitbull. He’s more like a chihuahua.
