Former President Trump responded to a “Fake News” ABC News story that he was going to leave the Republican Party.
Jonathan Karl, ABC News Chief Washington correspondent and co-anchor of “This Week with George Stephanopoulos,” claims Trump told RNC Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel he was leaving the GOP to create a new party in a new book.
“It’s a totally made up and fabricated story, it’s Fake News,” Trump said in a statement released by Trump spokeswoman Liz Harrington.
“Jonathan Karl is a third-rate reporter working for ABC Non-News,” Trump added.
Karl, in his new book “Betrayal: The Final Act of the Trump Show,” claims Trump said this on Jan. 20 on his last flight as president on Air Force One.
