Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis signed a bill banning COVID-19 vaccine passports.

The bill prohibits businesses, school, and government agencies from requiring people to show proof of a vaccine, FOX 35 reports.

The Republican governor also announced he is suspending all local emergency orders related to the pandemic.

“We are no longer in a state of emergency,” DeSantis said as he signed SB-2006 at The Big Catch at Salt Creek in St. Petersburg.

He said businesses and schools should be open, calling Washington, D.C.’s order banning dancing at weddings “insane.”

The executive orders go into effect July 1.
