Gaetz Talked to Trump About Installing Him as House Speaker

Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-FL) told reporters Tuesday he “would” install former President Trump as House speaker if the Republicans retake Congress in 2022.

When asked if Gaetz has discussed the idea with Trump, he responded: “I have.”

Others have pushed the idea since the speaker does not have to be a member of Congress.
