GONE WITH THE WIND: Cheney Invokes Civil War Theme as Her Political Plantation Went Up in Flames.

Congresswoman Liz Cheney’s political career is gone with the wind.

The incumbent Wyoming Republican lost her seat in Congress in one of the worst landslides in modern political history.

I do, declare.

The price she paid for waging a one-woman war against former President Donald Trump.

Do you stand with Trump or Cheney?

“I could easily have done the same again, the path was clear, but it would have required that I go along with President Trump’s lie about the 2020 election,” Cheney told her supporters. “It would have required that I enable his ongoing efforts to unravel our democratic system and attack the foundations of our republic.

Wyoming voters said she was simply out of touch with their values.

Cheney delivered a fiery concession speech — invoking the names of Abraham Lincoln and Civil War General U.S. Grant.

“Abraham Lincoln was defeated in elections for the Senate and House before he won the most important election of all,” she told a small crowd of supporters.

“In May of 1864, after years of war and a string of reluctant Union generals, Ulysses S. Grant met General Lee’s forces at the Battle of the Wilderness. In two days of heavy fighting, the Union suffered over 17,000 casualties. At the end of that battle, General Grant faced a choice. Most assumed he would do what previous Union generals had done and retreat. On the evening of May 7, Grant began to move. As the fires of the battle still smoldered, Grant rode to the head of the column. He rode to the intersection of Brock Road and Orange Plank Road. And there, as the men of his army watched and waited, instead of turning north back towards Washington and safety, Grant turns his horse south toward Richmond and the heart of Lee’s army. Refusing to retreat, he pressed on to victory. Lincoln and Grant and all who fought in our nation’s tragic Civil War, including my own great-great-grandfathers, saved our Union. Their courage saved freedom. And if we listen closely, they are speaking to us down the generations. We must not idly squander what so many have fought and died for.

Liz Cheney

It’s as if she thinks she’s General Elizabeth Tecumseh Sherman on some sort of a political crusade to burn down the Republican Party and set free those enslaved to the America First agenda.

When it fact it was the voters of Wyoming who seceded from the unholy union of endless wars and globalism. And last night they declared their emancipation from the Bush-Cheney political dynasty.

Cheney has now become the darling of the Drive-by Media and the political ruling class. They gushed with glee as she batted about her eyelashes and flirted with a possible presidential run.

She vowed as God as her witness that she would never let Trump step foot in the White House again.

We must be very clear-eyed about the threat we face and about what is required to defeat it,” she said. “I have said since January 6, that I will do whatever it takes to make sure Donald Trump is never again anywhere near the Oval Office.”

I suspect the American people will have the same reaction as the voters in Wyoming, who just rolled their eyes and said, Frankly, my dear, I don’t give a damn.”
