Rep. Andy Biggs (R-AZ) questioned why the American people still listen to Dr. Anthony Fauci after he has “lied” so many times throughout the coronavirus pandemic.
The outgoing House Freedom Caucus chairman told the Todd Starnes Radio Show Monday
“He’s lied to us,” Biggs said. “I mean, he said, ‘If you get the vaccine, you’re not going to transmit the disease, you’re not going to get sick from the disease. You don’t have to wear a mask anymore. You’re not going to die.’ Well, it turns out in his mind, at least, none of that’s true.”

The Republican congressman questioned: “What science is he following and when will the science ever catch up with Dr. Fauci and his dissembling?”
Fauci recommended the U.S. consider mandating vaccines for domestic travel on CNN over the weekend.
“I mean, this is again a fascist move by this guy,” Biggs said. “And if people listen to it and succumb to that, then I worry about the very future of our nation.”

Starnes: [00:40:17] So look, the patron saint of Wuhan making some headlines over the weekend. Dr. Anthony Fauci, first of all, on New Year’s Eve. Now many of you are getting ready to have the big New Year’s Eve party. If you go to church, you probably have a watch night service. Anybody been to one of those? I used to have to cover the New Year’s Eve shindig in Times Square when I was at Fox, and Fauci says, Yeah, we probably don’t need to be doing that anymore. [00:40:46][29.0]
Collins: [00:40:47] I know you said it’s OK to be with friends and family if you’re vaccinated and boosted. But what is your advice to people about larger settings for New Year’s parties? [00:40:54][7.1]
Fauci: [00:40:58] Kaitlan, I would stay away from that. I mean, I have been telling people consistently that if you’re vaccinated and boosted and have a family setting in the home with family and relatives, but when you’re talking about a New Year’s Eve party, we have 30, 40, 50 people celebrating. You do not know the status of the vaccination. I would recommend strongly stay away from that this year. There will be other years to do that, but not this year. [00:41:22][23.8]
Starnes: [00:41:22] All right. The patron saint of Wuhan went on to say that we need to seriously consider mandates for traveling on jetliners [00:41:32][9.8]
Fauci: [00:41:34] if you’re talking about requiring vaccination to get on a plane domestically. That is just another one of the requirements that I think is reasonable to consider. And I think that’s what you’re talking about when you heard me make a comment. You know, there’s requirements that you might want to get if you want to get into college, but you want to go to a university or you want to work in certain places when you make vaccination a requirement, that’s another incentive to get more people vaccinated. If you want to do that with domestic flights, I think that’s something that seriously should be considered. [00:42:04][30.2]

Starnes: [00:42:20] Well, you’re kind to say that. Congressman, I want to get your reaction there. Dr. Fauci all but calling for mandates on domestic flights. So if you want to go to Kalamazoo, you’re going to have to, I guess, have some sort of a vaccine or a mask to get on board that jetliner. [00:42:36][16.3]
Biggs: [00:42:39] Well, you know, when Dr Fascist speaks, people tend to listen, I don’t know why yet. I mean, when you think back it, he’s lied to us. I mean, he said, if you get the vaccine, you’re not going to transmit the disease, you’re not going to get sick from the disease. You don’t have to wear a mask anymore. You’re not going to die. Starnes: [00:43:21] You see, it seems to me, congressman, that that we, the people and specifically Congress, you guys have a big say in this. As far as the airline industry goes, we are propping up these these airports. We’re propping up these, these airlines with millions and millions of our tax dollars. And my suggestion when the Republicans retake control of the House is to pull the purse strings. If you’re going to force a mandate on the passengers, pull the federal money. [00:43:49][28.3]
Biggs: [00:43:51] Yeah, actually have legislation that would, would would pull was not just stop the funding, but it would require them to reimburse the federal funds that they got in the various care packages to sustain them when when nobody could fly in the airlines and nobody was flying. I mean, we sustain them to the tune of tens of billions of dollars. And if they want to impose this type of mandate, then I think they need to give the money back. [00:44:21][30.0]
Starnes: [00:44:22] Yeah, I’m with you. We’ve got to start playing hardball with with these folks. Congressman, I think that’s the only thing they’re going to respond to is is the almighty is the almighty dollar. Meanwhile, New York City, they’re getting ready to implement today the strictest vaccine mandate requirements in the country. Again, my recommendation don’t go to New York City on vacation. [00:44:44][21.6]
Biggs: [00:44:46] Yeah, I’d stay out of there and in fact leave unless you like that kind of authoritarian toehold that that he’s got on everybody. And I just I think it’s probably unconstitutional. I think that there’s some, some ways to get after that. But the bottom line is you are seeing this more people are fleeing New York than are going to New York, and that’s because of this type of authoritarian craziness. [00:45:14][27.9]
Starnes: [00:45:15] And California, too, I mean, they’re losing what at least one congressional seat that we know of. People are just they’re fed up. And especially in areas like San Francisco and Los Angeles. Congressman, you know, the other big story we’ve been following, we’re talking about thousands of flights now that are being canceled. The airlines are saying they’re having some staffing problems. What are you hearing? [00:45:37][21.7]
Biggs: [00:45:39] Well, we’re hearing the same thing. I mean, I live out West and a lot of these flights, you know, west to east and have been canceled, a lot of it because of of COVID staffing. And this is kind of kind of dumb. And you know, like United, for instance, claims that they’ve got 100 percent vaccination. But but people are getting sick still, which gives the lie to to the efficacy of vaccination. But but beyond that, the forced mandates also forced. I think the number is now 4,000 pilots nationwide have said they’re not going to fly if they have to get vaccinated. Well, if that’s the case, it is not necessarily that they’re getting sick. It’s that that a false mandate was put on them that they said we’re not going to adhere to that. And I’ve talked to pilots who told me they tried to go the other day, 34 years as a pilot was hoping to go for another two or three years. And she said, like, you know, they came out with the mandate. They said, no. And that’s just what you see in it ripples through it. So you got some weather issues for sure going on. But you also have the mandates that are driving this. Not all sickness that’s causing this [00:46:45][65.9]

Our good friend, Congressman Andy Biggs, you know, congressman, there was a story in Fox Fox News yesterday this navy, a warship, the USS Milwaukee and 100 percent of the vaccinated crew have come down with COVID. And my question would be how? How is that possible? You’re on a ship in the middle of the ocean, 100 percent of you people are vaccinated, and now they’ve got an outbreak of 100 percent of the vaccinated group. [00:47:15][29.2]
Biggs: [00:47:17] Yeah. Well, you and I, if we’re both in our understanding of the vaccine on what failed, she told us it was. And I just felt she. But Biden Walensky, head of CDC. They all told us this stuff. They said, Look at Bill Gates. Don’t forget you can never predict Bill Gates and that they should. You will. You will not transmit the disease if you get a vaccine and you won’t get sick. It’s not true. [00:47:43][26.4]
Starnes: [00:47:44] And and and if you believe they’re they’re thinking and we’ve heard these arguments, if you are vaccinated, you are more prone to be killed by an unvaccinated person. And even even when President Biden, they should have said, well, he’s being self-deprecating. Well, they didn’t because everybody knows that he probably doesn’t even understand what that means. And and we’ve really come to a point where this division in our society is is too great. We have to get a sense of humor. We have this is filled with hubris. We need to be humble. We need to acknowledge that we all make mistakes and we can laugh at those mistakes. [00:49:21][32.3]
