John Kerry, President Biden’s climate czar and frequent private jet flyer, put some hot air into the virtual climate summit Thursday.

Kerry, the U.S. Special Envoy for Climate, spoke to a reporter about combatting climate change.

“Even if we get to net-zero, we still have to get carbon dioxide out of the atmosphere,” he said.

“This is a bigger challenge than a lot of people have really grabbed onto yet,” Kerry added.

Kerry has a history of using private jets to travel addressing climate change, which he previously defended as “the only choice for somebody like me who is traveling the world to win this battle.”

Private jets emit upwards of 40 times as much carbon per passenger as commercial flights, something Kerry and his family use frequently, Fox News reports.
