Supreme Court Justice Samuel Alito canceled a scheduled appearance in Nashville, Tennessee Thursday after Politico published his opinion draft overturning Roe v. Wade, Reuters reports.

“Alito had been set to appear at the 5th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals’ judicial conference, a gathering of judges from the New Orleans-based federal appeals court and the district courts of Louisiana, Mississippi, and Texas,” the publication reported.
Supreme Court spokeswoman Patricia McCabe did not say why Alito canceled when asked by Reuters, but an investigation is ongoing into who leaked the 98-page document Monday.

A large fence was erected around the Supreme Court building Wednesday night as security concerns continue to rise for the justices and their staff.

Chief Justice John Roberts and Justice Clarence Thomas are scheduled to give similar remarks in Atlanta as Alito for the 11th Circuit Thursday and Friday, acccording to a program obtained by Reuters.
