CNN has agreed to settle a lawsuit filed by Covington Catholic High School student Nick Sandmann, the young man who was politically lynched by the Mainstream Media for being pro-life and wearing a “Make America Great Again” hat.
The settlement amount was not made public, but Fox 19 reports the teenager and his family had sued CNN, the Washington Post and NBC Universal for $800 million.
Attorney Lin Wood filed suit after Sandmann was accused of inciting a confrontation with a Native American activist. Video later showed that in fact Sandmann and his classmates were the victims, not the aggressors.
A number of mainstream media outlets and conservative pundits attacked Sandmann accusing the child of being a racist. It was absolutely horrifying and shameful what they did to that young man.
Wood told Fox 19 the damages were sought due to “emotional distress Nicholas and his family suffered.” He also said the family had to move from their home temporarily and that Nicholas was not permitted to attend school directly after the trip to Washington.
Sandmann’s attorney tells the Todd Starnes Show that more lawsuits are planned – and they will seek justice for their client.
In other words, CNN employees should not be surprised if their 2020 Christmas party is held at McDonalds — off the value menu.
I wish I could say that the Mainstream Media has learned their lesson, but we know that’s not true. The only way to fight back against fake news is in the courts. Put these people out of business.
