House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) is “too boring” to be the next speaker of the House, Mark Meckler said on the “Todd Starnes Show.”

The president of the Convention of States said McCarthy’s rollout of the Republican “Commitment to America” didn’t galvanize the country like former House Speaker Newt Gingrich did with the “Contract with America.”
“McCarthy is about as milquetoast of a speaker as you can see. If you look up boring in the dictionary, you see him,” Meckler told host Todd Starnes.

“I was saying you needed to have a Hulk moment,” Meckler added. “You know, the shirt needed to split open and he needed to be the big, bold, brave proud and loud conservative. And it was kind of like, Heh, I can’t really listen to this. It’s too boring.”
Meckler slammed both McCarthy and Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) for being right for D.C. leadership but not having “real leadership” for the American people.

“If I had to choose one guy in Congress right now, I’m a Texan, so I might be biased, but I would choose Representative Chip Roy,” Meckler said. “I think he’s been a bold spokesman for conservatism. I think he’s refused to back down when others have backed down. I think he really is the definition of a real leader and a real warrior.”
Starnes agreed that Roy is a “rock solid conservative,” calling him an “interesting choice.”
