American Conservative Union Chairman Matt Schlapp agreed with podcaster Joe Rogan’s assessment that former first lady Michelle Obama would have a good chance in 2024.
Rogan said he believes Mrs. Obama would beat former President Trump “if she runs.” Schlapp responded to his comments Tuesday night on Fox News saying he doesn’t think Biden is “physically or mentally up” for another presidential race.
Schlapp said if Democrats replace Vice President Kamala Harris because she is “terrible,” Mrs. Obama would be the logical choice for the Left’s “identify politics.”

“They gotta look to the identity politics, and I have to say, Michelle Obama fits that type of thinking,” Schlapp said. “Another woman of color who’s obviously got good poll numbers. It’s a very interesting idea.”
