Rep. Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) picked up one more holdout in the thirteenth round of votes for the Speaker of the House in another failed bid.

Rep. Andy Harris (R-MD) flipped in the thirteenth round. A fourteenth is expected.

A majority of the House 20 voted for Rep. Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) Friday in the twelfth round for Speaker of the House.

Should the rest of GOP holdouts flip for McCarthy?

A deal appears to have been reached, the details of which have not been made public, though it still fell short of the 218 votes needed to secure the speakership.

With 214 votes, McCarthy surpassed Rep. Hakeem Jeffries (D-NY), who garnered 212.

The following Republicans switched for McCarthy with applause from their pro-McCarthy colleagues:

  1. Rep. Dan Bishop (R-NC)
  2. Rep. Josh Brecheen (R-OK)
  3. Rep. Michael Cloud (R-TX)
  4. Rep. Andrew Clyde (R-GA)
  5. Rep. Byron Donalds (R-FL)
  6. Rep. Anna Paulina Luna (R-FL)
  7. Rep. Mary Miller (R-IL)
  8. Rep. Ralph Norman (R-SC)
  9. Rep. Scott Perry (R-PA)
  10. Rep. Chip Roy (R-TX)
  11. Rep. Keith Self (R-TX)
  12. Rep. Paul Gosar (R-AZ)
  13. Rep. Andy Ogles (R-TN)
  14. Rep. Andy Harris (R-MD)

Rep. Victoria Spartz (R-IN), who had begun voting present, voted for McCarthy.

The six holdouts against McCarthy include Reps. Andy Biggs (R-AZ), Eli Crane (R-AZ), Matt Gaetz (R-FL), Bob Good (R-VA), Lauren Boebert (R-CO), and Matt Rosendale (R-MT).

National radio host Todd Starnes called out Ogles for flipping for McCarthy minutes after telling him he was holding out.

“So freshman @AndyOgles was on my national show earlier today attacking McCarthy and vowing to fight. Said he wasn’t a quitter. A half hour later – he flipped his vote to McCarthy. Turns out there wasn’t much difference between McCarthy and Ogles after all,” Starnes tweeted.

Rosendale was met with a raucous after he shouted “Kevin” and paused before adding, “Hern.”
