Jackson received 53 votes as three GOP Senators joined Democrats:

  • Sen. Susan Collins (R-ME)
  • Sen. Mitt Romney (R-UT)
  • Sen. Lisa Murkowski (R-AK)

Forty-seven Republicans voted against her confirmation.

Many Republicans expressed their concern for Jackson’s record being lenient on child pornography cases and other troubling issues, including her saying she can’t define what a “woman” is.

Should any Republicans have supported Jackson for the Supreme Court?
