Former First Lady Melania Trump has released a new statement on her husband, former President Donald Trump’s 2024 presidential campaign and her potential return to the East Wing.
The former first lady hasn’t often been seen on the campaign trail since the GOP frontrunner announced his third run for the presidency, but she is throwing all support behind her husband.
“He has my support, and we look forward to restoring hope for the future and leading America with love and strength,” Mrs. Trump told Fox News.
“My husband achieved tremendous success in his first administration, and he can lead us toward greatness and prosperity once again,” Trump said.
Similar to her first time as first lady, Melania Trump mentioned if she had the “privilege” to enter the role once again, she would continue her initiatives to focus on children’s well-being.
The former first lady’s comments came after she hosted a private luncheon at Mar-a-Lago on May 6, for the fifth anniversary of her “Be Best” initiative during her time in the White House, which focused on the well-being of America’s children, opioid abuse, and online safety.
