TODD: I want to go right now to the Liberty University newsmaker line. Honored to have with us a great American patriot, former White House chief of staff, former Congressman Mark Meadows. Mark, how’s it going today?
MEADOWS: [01:37:22] Great, Todd. Great to be with you and certainly great to be with all your listeners. And when we start to talk about your book, you know, I love that little bit of a draw because I don’t need a translator for that.

TODD: [01:37:37] No, you don’t. You do not need a translation. Congressman, it was a fun book to write. And, you know, we’ll get back to writing about politics in the next book. But I wanted to have a little bit of fun and celebrate our southern heritage and roots and those good old church meetings that we all used to go to as kids.
MEADOWS: [01:37:55] IT brings a little bit of our heritage, but also it helps people understand a little bit more about some of the things that have happened, you know, in my great home state of North Carolina and all those that are closely aligned with our faith and freedom.
TODD: And faith and freedom are literally both under attack. And I mean, you are predicting this President Trump predicted this was going to happen. Elections have consequences. And whether it’s in the military, whether it’s in our church houses, the Democrats are coming after us.
MEADOWS: [01:38:33] Well, they are. And I think, you know, we’ve seen it recently with some of the testimony on Capitol Hill where we have the Navy essentially indoctrinating our men and women in in service to our country with with kind of a woke mentality. And it’s not even something that’s consistent with who we are as a nation. But it’s coming sadly to a theater near you. And for all those that are listening here now, the left is on a full court blitz. They’re really looking to take anything that honors our faith. And for you and I, it’s it’s a faith in Jesus Christ and and our committed walk there. But but when we look at it, it really is trying to take it not only out of the classroom, but out of the public square to suggest that anything that we do has to be secular in nature. And I can tell you that it is troubling, but it’s a five alarm fire. And hopefully we’ll have a number of heroes across the country that come to to our rescue.
TODD: [01:39:49] You know, I hope so. And I’m encouraged by what I’m seeing out there. I think people after four years of Donald Trump, I think they understand what it means to to stand your ground, to fight, to deliver on the promises you made to voters. I mean, that’s something you did for so many years in Congress as one of the leaders of the House Freedom Caucus. And I think that’s a winning formula in my estimation.
MEADOWS: [01:40:14] Well, it is a winning formula. It never hurts. My good friend Jim Jordan always says it never hurts to do what you said you were going to do. And for politicians, it’s been largely a a an empty promise where they’ll campaign on one thing and they’ll come to Washington, D.C., they get Potomac fever, they drink the Kool-Aid, and all of a sudden they lose their everloving minds. And when when you see that, it it was refreshing because Donald Trump not only made a lot of promises, but he delivered on them. You and I both know that it was not just the economy and the wage growth that he was perhaps the most pro-life president we’ve ever had. And that’s saying something but the most pro-life president we’ve ever had. We have an embassy in Jerusalem because of him keeping his promise. But I can tell you, it takes boldness to do that. It will take a lot more boldness, not just on Capitol Hill, but in the pews and in the churches and synagogues across the country. Right now,
