Rep. Justin Jones, a Communist Democrat from Tennessee, brought great shame on his family and his constituents when he refused to lead the House chamber in the morning pledge of allegiance.
Jones declined to lead the chamber in the recitation. Instead, House Minority Leader Karen Camper led the pledge while Jones pitched a hissy fit on the House floor.
“This is what woke indoctrination in our schools & colleges looks like,” said State Rep. Jody Barrett wrote on X. “The ignorance & utter disrespect for the sacrifices of the men & women who have served, & continue to serve, in defense of (the flag) and the nation it represents sums up everything this grifter doesn’t stand for.”
As one angry Tennessean noted, “Never thought I would see this happening in Tennessee but cancer does spread and it’s this type of behavior that’s in every state now. Maybe he would be happier in another country perhaps.”
Tennessee Stands, a respected Conservative organization, blasted Jones.
“This guy is an absolute piece of trash and utterly unbecoming of the honor of the office he currently holds,” Tennessee Stands wrote.
If an elected representative cannot pledge allegiance to Old Glory, they should not be allowed to serve in the statehouse.
