President Trump announced that he is taking immediate action to stop violence and restore security across the nation.
“I am your president of law and order and an ally of all peaceful protesters,” the president said.
In a Rose Garden press briefing the president said he is mobilizing all civilian and military resources to stop the rioting and looting.
He said the nation has been gripped by professional anarchists, rioters, Antifa, and an assortment of criminals in the aftermath of the death of George Floyd.

“We cannot allow the righteous cries of peaceful to be drowned out by an angry mob. The biggest victims of the rioting are peace-loving citizens in our poorest communities and as their president, I will fight to keep them safe.” pic.twitter.com/V3OqCjMjWA

The president said the first step is an immediate end to all rioting and lawlessness.
“These are acts of domestic terror,” he declared. “My first and highest duty is to defend our great country and the American people.”
The president is calling on state and city governments to use the National Guard to stop the violence.
“A number of state and local governments have failed to take necessary actions to safeguard their residents,” the president said, referencing an elderly businesswoman who was beaten by thugs.
And if local governments fail to protect their citizens, the president said he would bring in the U.S. military and vowed to dominate the streets.
“If a city or state refuses to take the actions necessary to defend the lift and property of their residents, then I will deploy the United States military and quickly solve the problem for them,” he said.
