Rep. Abraham Wants to Strip Federal Funding From Sanctuary Cities

No more federal funding for sanctuary cities.

Rep. Ralph Abraham (R-LA), and a candidate for governor, has introduced legislation to strip federal funding from any city that harbors illegal alien invaders.

“Sanctuary cities have no place in our country, not in Louisiana, nowhere,” Abraham said on The Todd Starnes Show. “Democrats have turned our great city of New Orleans into a sanctuary city and it’s making our state a magnet for illegal aliens and crime.”

In addition to cutting off funding for cities that don’t comply with federal law, the Protecting American Lives Act (HR 2988) would also mandate certain punishments for illegals caught re-entering the United States.

Abraham Wants to Protect Border Patrol Agents

Rep. Ralph Abraham wants to be the next Republican governor of Louisiana.

“It will mandate that local jurisdictions share information with ICE and Border Patrol agents, and it protects our wonderful law enforcement officers and give them immunity from illegal aliens that would come against them legally,” he explained. “Getting Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA 12th District) to bring it up in the House for a vote is going to be a lift, but we’re going to push.”

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) has compared southern border facilities to concentration camps where women were told to drink water from the toilet. Congressman Abraham, who is also a medical doctor, said ‘AOC’ and the other Democrats are unhinged.

“I hope she doesn’t get re-elected,” Abraham continued. “I know there’s some opposition already mounting against her, and I hope she’s not in Congress in the next election.”

Running For Governor

Speaking of elections, Abraham won a recent straw poll for Louisiana Governor.

“We’re in a good spot,” Abraham cheered. “Again, when I’m governor, sanctuary cities, certainly the one in New Orleans, it will no longer have that designation. That’s a promise that I will certainly keep.”

“I’m pretty excited about your campaign,” Starnes admitted. “Governor John Bel-Edwards is pro-life, and that’s a good thing, but honestly, his other policies are radical.”

Starnes lavished heaps of praise on Abraham and said he would make a great governor for the Bayou State.

“He was one of the first ones to support the president,” Starnes continued. “He’s also co-sponsoring this legislation to defund sanctuary cities. Finally, somebody up on Capitol Hill understands what we’ve been hollering about for years on this radio program!
