Rep. Warren Davidson (R-OH) tells the Todd Starnes Radio Show that House Speaker Nancy Pelosi has a big problem on her hands — she can’t control the “impeachment zealots in her party.”
Pelosi, who reportedly wants President Trump imprisoned, is trying to stave off calls from her party to launch impeachment proceedings.
“Those are the kinds of words that Nancy Pelosi is being driven to use to keep the radical impeachment zealots in her party in line,” the Ohio lawmaker said on the nationally-syndicated radio show.
“It’s shocking,” he said. “She’s trying to fight off pushing for impeachment because she knows it’s not going to work – but that’s not stopping the zealots in her party.”
Davidson said there was a strategic reason Pelosi allegedly called for the president to be thrown in jail. He said she is battling a contest of ideas within the party.
“She thinks, ‘well, maybe if I come out with this radical statement, that’ll keep them happy,” he said. “The reality is, there’s no satiating their desire to stop the president. And so, it is a contest of ideas and you know we’ll see where Nancy Pelosi lands.”
The fact of the matter the president has done nothing wrong. He’s broken no laws. But that doesn’t matter to Democrats or the Deep State.
“We know where we stand, and that’s behind the rule of law and civil liberties where if this kind of thing can happen to the president of the United States – think of what can be done to the average American.”
