STARNES: [01:02:41] I want to go to the Patriot Mobile Newsmaker Line here in our Liberty University Studios – Our good friend, Congressman Jim Jordan from Ohio, joins us. Hey, Congressman, good to have you with us today. [01:02:50][9.3]
JORDAN: [01:02:52] Good to be with you, Todd. [01:02:52][0.6]
STARNES: [01:02:53] Hey, Congressman, a couple of big stories we’ve been following. And of course, you have been from day one talking about this laptop – Hunter Biden and the big scandal. Now, all of a sudden, the mainstream media has woken up over this. Where do you see this going? [01:03:08][15.1]
JORDAN: [01:03:10] Well, you know, why suddenly is the media interested in telling this story? You know, because 18 months ago big tech, big media, the Democrat party, and 51 former intel officials all colluded to keep this information from the country. Even though we all knew the laptop was real, eyewitness was real, the emails were real. We all knew that the only thing fake was the news about this 18 months ago in the run up to the presidential election. So why did last Wednesday The Washington Post put out two stories: one of them at 11 a.m., the other one at 11:04, two long stories, eight page stories four minutes apart, talking about the laptop, what it was, and suddenly they found it, and found the Lord and they’re telling us the truth and saying it was all legit. So, I think that’s the big question. Someone surmised that maybe there’s some indictments coming. I don’t know if that’s the case or not, but it’s very interesting that suddenly the mainstream press is telling us that oh everything you and I knew 18 months ago is actually true. [01:04:09][59.0]
STARNES: [01:04:09] And congressman, you and I, we’ve seen these things happen for years now. The New York Times dropped a piece, and then everybody else fell into line. Meanwhile, the New York Post was literally banned for reporting that news and breaking that news from day one. [01:04:26][16.9]
JORDAN: [01:04:27] Yeah, oh it’s crazy. Think about how this story has changed. It was originally, Oh, this is not Hunter Biden’s laptop. Then it was, oh no, it was his laptop, but it’s Russian misinformation. And then it was, well, no, no, It wasn’t Russian disinformation, but Joe Biden wasn’t involved. And now it is, oh, well, Joe Biden was involved, but he didn’t do anything wrong. So, that’s how the evolution of the story has changed over the last 18 months. But yeah, we sent a letter to Twitter and Facebook and these big tech companies saying, what was going on? Why did you work with the media to keep this story and hold it back and ban it? But then why did you do that when the New York Post was out there reporting what we all know now to be true and what you and I again, and so many of your listeners, I’m sure, believed was true at the time. [01:05:17][49.5]
STARNES: [01:05:18] And when you look at the overarching issue here, we’re talking about a Biden crime syndicate. I’d still like to know how Joe Biden has become a multi-millionaire when he has been in public service his entire life. I mean, Congressman, do you own five or six homes and pal around with the rich and famous? [01:05:36][18.6]
JORDAN: [01:05:37] Well, remember what he said, Todd. What he said in his debate on October 22, a year and a half ago, he said when talking about his son’s business dealings that he “did nothing unethical, and that his son made no money with ties to Chinese companies.” Well, there are 4.8 million reasons why those statements are not accurate, because the Washington Post reports about the 4.8 million dollars Hunter Biden got paid from just one company, EFC, this big, massive oil and gas company with ties to the Chinese Communist Party in China. So that’s just not true. So, yeah, we got it. I think the country needs to know what they did there. Maybe, as his chief of staff said on the Sunday shows, there’s nothing there. The president was not involved. Maybe that’s the case, but it still looks interesting and frankly, think about the standard they tried to apply to the Trump family when they did nothing wrong. I think this is something that we have to investigate. [01:06:35][57.5]
STARNES: [01:06:36] You know, the other big issue here, Congressman, is the border crisis. We’re hearing of massive surges. What are you hearing? [01:06:43][7.7]
JORDAN: [01:06:45] Well, it’s already massive. It’s deliberate. It’s intentional, because there’s no other way to interpret this. I mean, two million illegal crossings in 14 months. That doesn’t count people that they didn’t apprehend who were coming in across, and now with the idea they can take away this Title 42, which is the one thing stopping it from being even worse. And again, don’t take my word for it. Don’t take Republicans words for it. How about the two Democrat senators from the state of Arizona who told the Biden administration, do not do this, but they’re going to move ahead with it anyway? That is how bad they are on not just border policies but how bad this administration has been on every single policy area. [01:07:23][37.5]
STARNES: [01:07:23] And it does make you wonder, what is the endgame here? I mean, we’re talking about maybe a million illegal aliens surging across that border in a very short amount of time. [01:07:32][8.9]
JORDAN: [01:07:33] Yeah, I know. You got to wonder it seems like the Biden administration is just like everything they do causes harm to the country. You know, what they’ve done with spending, what they’ve done with energy policy has given us a 40-year high inflation and $5 gasoline, what they have done with the defund the police concept and movement has given us record levels of crime in every major urban area. You can just go to the foreign policy. I think the metaphor for the Biden administration, it’s sad to say, is probably that picture we all remember from last summer when that plane was taking off in Afghanistan, and people are trying to jump on the wheels of that airplane. I think a that’s a picture of how bad. The worst administration certainly in my lifetime. It’s just terrible, and that’s why these midterm elections coming up are so darn important. [01:08:24][51.1]
STARNES: [01:08:26] On that issue, I mean, you’ve described a nation in turmoil. Do you anticipate, especially with all these weird blunders, you know, referring to Michelle Obama as the Vice President. Do you do you see Joe Biden finishing out his term in office? [01:08:42][16.6]
JORDAN: [01:08:44] I mean, who knows? You know, I guess. I do see President Trump running for office. I think that’s going to happen. And I want him to do it, and I want him to win. Whether Joe Biden does or not, I don’t know, but I can see why so many Americans think he won’t. But you know, we’ll just have to wait and see. [01:09:00][16.3]
