One of the unintended bright spots in this global pandemic has been the opportunity for the American people to see how much the White House Press Corps hates President Trump.
It’s not so much about asking legitimate questions, it’s all about gotcha questions.
Consider this query from Sunday’s coronavirus task force briefing:
“So why even have a few businesses open? Why don’t they shut everything down? Groceries stores are open, fast food places — why even take a little chance? Just shut all of it down temporarily,” the reporter said.
The president demonstrated a double-portion of grace and patience.
But he should’ve told the reporter, “because we can’t let people starve to death you imbecilic pinhead.”
