A retired New York City police officer was left bloodied after he was sucker punched in a Nashville, Tennessee bar over what the attacker thought was a Make America Great Again hat.
Daniel Sprague was celebrating his birthday at a bar with his family when a woman spun him around, punched him in the face and grabbed his hat.
The hat, which resembled a MAGA hat, actually read, “Make FIFTY Great Again.”
A misguided soul, possibly not alone, who I’m assuming was not very literate,” Sprague wrote on Facebook. “Leading me to think she thought it was a MAGA hat.”
He filed a police report but so far no one has been arrested.
Otherwise Sprague said he had a great time in “God’s country.”
