Republican National Committee Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel told Fox News Republicans have a “messaging issue” on abortion after big losses Tuesday night.
Abortion was the No.1 issue for voters in Wisconsin, where a liberal judge’s win flipped the state Supreme Court in one of the most expensive races of its kind.
“When you’re losing by 10 points, there is a messaging issue, and abortion is still an issue, and we can’t allow Democrats to define Republicans and put millions of dollars up in lies and have it go unanswered, because the lies become the truth if they go unanswered,” McDaniel told the network.
National radio host Todd Starnes asked, “When will Republicans wake up and realize the RNC needs to change its strategy?”
Former Trump adviser Sebastian Gorka told the “Todd Starnes Show” Wednesday that McDaniel needs to stop focusing on her Botox and champion pro-lifers.
He said the RNC didn’t have a strategy for the midterms on pro-life laws despite growth in pro-life support among younger generations and the overturning of Roe v. Wade at the Supreme Court.
