Former President Donald Trump’s spokesperson called Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis (R) a “fraud” after the governor released a statement mentioning Trump’s potential arrest.
In his statement, DeSantis did call NYC district attorney Alvin Bragg’s effort to target the former president concerning hush money payments given to adult film star Stormy Daniels a “manufactured circus” motivated by a “political agenda.”
However, he failed to mention Trump by name in the comment and said he would not be getting involved.
Trump’s spokesperson, Liz Harrington, bashed the governor on Twitter saying his statement revealed that “DeSantis is totally fine with a third world nation arresting their number one political opposition. Not MAGA!”
“Are you kidding me? SAY HIS NAME! What a total fraud he is. He takes a dig at President Trump who is being falsely accused and can’t even say his name,” Harrington wrote.

DeSantis also said that he is focused on Floridians, not Trump being targeted.
Harrington implied that DeSantis should be standing up for the former president because Trump’s arrest would take the nation to “a point of no return.”
“Actually people do care about this because it is crossing a point of no return, turning the greatest nation on earth into a third world nation,” Harrington added on Twitter. “Oh, you’ve got better things to do? Like getting back on your Murdoch-funded book tour? You’re not fooling anyone.”
In a Truth Social post over the weekend, Trump told his followers he expects to be arrested Tuesday due to a witch hunt from NYC’s George Soros-funded district attorney.
The former president called the accusations against him concerning alleged hush money payments to porn star Stormy Daniels a “fairytale” and said they have been “debunked.”
