Former Democrat politician Claire McCaskill told MSNBC she’s starting a bizarre new Independence Day tradition and it has nothing to do with fireworks, cooking out, or wearing red, white, and blue.
After claiming the storming of the Capitol on Jan. 6 was worse than the 2012 Benghazi terrorist attack, the former Missouri senator’s answer on how she would be celebrating the Fourth made a “Morning Joe” host pause.
“We’re going to start a new family tradition in my family,” McCaskill, who was defeated in 2018 by Republican Josh Hawley and joined MSNBC in 2019, said.
“On the Fourth of July and every Fourth of July going forward, we’re going that watch that the New York Times put together of January 6th,” McCaskill explained. The video is reportedly 40 minutes long.
