The National Republican Senatorial Committee (NRSC) is getting called out for a “Good Friday” post on social media.

“Wishing all across the country a blessed #GoodFriday!” NRSC wrote on Twitter with a graphic that contained the controversial part.

Under a cross and the words “Good Friday,” NRSC included, “Text WIN to 55404” with its emblem.

National radio show host Todd Starnes criticized the Senate Republicans on Twitter.

“He was wounded for our transgressions, bruised for our iniquities. Send cash. Real classy, Republicans,” Starnes wrote.

Is the NRSC's Good Friday post tone-deaf?

Others also noticed the tone-deaf post.

“Wait, are you using Jesus’ crucifixion to raise election funds?” one user asked.

“text win for him to rise again,” another person said.
