Socialist Bernie Sanders Would Destroy America, says Lara Trump

If you’re better off now than you were four years ago, you have to vote for Donald Trump. That’s according to his daughter-in-law Lara Trump in an interview on The Todd Starnes Show.

“It is morning in America again,” said Trump, pointing back to a Reagan-era phrase. “Everywhere I’ve gone, people say, ‘I wish I could go today and vote for Donald Trump.’”

When asked what she thinks is driving the excitement, Trump said the president is delivering on and exceeding expectations.

“We’re not used to having a businessman in the White House,” Lara Trump continued. “He has gotten so much done despite all of the pushback the obstruction from the Democrats and the negative mainstream media coverage.”

It’s clear that a Sanders presidency would finish the fundamental transformation of the nation that was started during the Obama years.

“It would destroy America if socialist Bernie Sanders became president of the United States,” warned Trump. “People are seeing that and saying ‘we are not a socialist country, and we are never going to be a socialist country,’ and they’re really energized to get out and work hard and get four more years of Donald Trump.”

Some of these people are Democrats.

“The stats have recently shown we have 20-30 percent registered Democrats attending Trump rallies and around 18 percent never voted in 2016,” said Trump. “They know what Donald Trump is doing every day is working for this country, things like trade deals that should have been negotiated years ago.”

“He has definitely taught a new generation of young conservatives how to fight, to get out there, stand up to the media, stand up to Big Tech, and stand up to Hollywood,” replied Starnes.

“Something I give him credit for is really re-energizing people to get involved in politics,” Trump answered. “For a long time, it was kind of boring, and you really didn’t see a lot of young people involved in politics, but Donald Trump has gotten people back involved and whatever side of the aisle you’re on, that’s important.”
