Former President Trump may announce a 2024 run for president at an Ohio rally Monday night, according to reports.
On Sunday, Trump told rallygoers in Miami, Florida that he would “probably” run again: “Stay tuned tomorrow night in the great state of Ohio. Stay tuned.”

Trump is stumping for Republican Senate candidate J.D. Vance on the eve of Election Day, but there might be more to the visit to the swing state that Trump won in 2016 and 2020.
According to The Hill, at least two sources indicated that Trump spoke to aides about making the announcement at the rally near Dayton International Airport.

“Confirming that Trump has talked with some aides about announcing a 2024 presidential bid as early as Monday night in Ohio, though nothing is set in stone,” Hill reporter Brett Samuels tweeted. “Some aides urging an early announcement, others saying wait til (at least) next week.”

Axios reporter Jonathan Swan set off a flurry of speculation Monday with his tweet:
“Based calls/texts all morning, Trump/Vance rally in Ohio will be v closely watched by Rs. Speculation has reached a point of absurdity at this point but many Rs of varying degrees of closeness to Trump are anticipating accelerated announcement based on his recent private comments,” Swan said.
