A man who identifies as a woman claims he was verbally and physically assaulted by a TSA agent at JFK Airport and is now threatening to kill himself, the Daily Mail reports.
The individual, who goes by the name Mara on Twitter, took to social media to tell his followers what reportedly happened.
In a captioned crying selfie in the airport bathroom which has now been deleted, the individual wrote, “hi so a tsa agent at jfk airport punched me in the genitalia, yelled at me for having a penis (?) and humiliated me in front of everyone after i told her to please stop.”
He then asked his followers for advice on what he should do about the situation.
In a second post, the individual said he had been in the airport bathroom for over an hour and that his “balls still hurt so bad.”

Later, the individual said he does not want the TSA agent to be fired, but instead wants “her educated and the entirety of TSA abolished altogether.”
In the days following the incident, the individual has expressed disappointment over media coverage of the incident.
“I’ve become the ridiculed face of the trans community for the past two days and not a single person from any trans-friendly publication has reached out to me. nor has any celebrity come to my defense. nor have i been contacted by jfk/tsa,” he wrote on Twitter.

In another tweet, the individual threatened to kill himself.
“hi! tsa trans girl here, i will kill myself once i’ve raised enough funds for a funeral, please donate to my cashapp at $maratoday!” he added.
