President Trump has agreed to participate in a Fox News Channel presidential debate in lieu of the ABC News debate scheduled for September.
“I have agreed with FoxNews to debate Kamala Harris on Wednesday, September 4th,” Trump posted Friday night on Truth Social. “The Debate was previously scheduled against Sleepy Joe Biden on ABC, but has been terminated in that Biden will no longer be a participant, and I am in litigation against ABC Network and George Slopadopoulos, thereby creating a conflict of interest.”
“The FoxNews Debate will be held in the Great Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, at a site in an area to be determined. The Moderators of the Debate will be Bret Baier and Martha MacCallum, and the Rules will be similar to the Rules of my Debate with Sleepy Joe, who has been treated horribly by his Party – BUT WITH A FULL ARENA AUDIENCE,” Trump added.
Harris immediately refused the invitation and called him a coward.
“Donald Trump is running scared and trying to back out of the debate he already agreed to and running straight to Fox News to bail him out,” the campaign wrote on X.

David Plouffe, President Trump’s former campaign manager who is now heavily involved in Harris’ campaign, blasted Trump on X.
“Donald Trump is cowardly backing out of the debate he agreed to,” he wrote. “One just like the debate he did in June. Now, he seems only comfortable in a cocoon, asking his happy place Fox to host a Trump rally and call it a debate. Maybe he can only handle debating someone his own age.
Trump had rightfully stayed out of the debate over the debate until the Democrats actually settled on a nominee. On Friday, Harris officially earned that title. Click here to read the book Trump says everyone American must read before Election Day.
“My father already did a debate with Fake News CNN, so is Kamala going to accept the debate with Fox News,” Donald Trump, Jr., wrote on X. “Or is she going to be a coward and back out?”
The Harris campaign will no doubt balk at the agreement and the debate setting, but they really don’t have much of a choice.
The Biden campaign set all the rules for the previous presidential debate. President Trump had absolutely no say. So, fair is fair, right? Trump is playing the Democrats like a fiddle.
Trump agrees to debate Kamala on Fox in a full arena with an audience. Just remember, that Democrats set all the rules for the last debate. So, fair is fair. Right?
