Former President Trump slammed “left-wing radical racists and perverts” for targeting innocent children with Marxist ideas and woke gender ideology at a campaign event Saturday.
“We’re going to stop the left-wing radical racists and perverts who are trying to indoctrinate our youth, and we’re going to get their Marxist hands off of our children,” Trump told the cheering crowd in the South Carolina State Capitol.
The appearance was among Trump’s first campaign events since he announced his second presidential run in November.
The former president was in the Palmetto State to announce his leadership team in the state as South Carolina is an early-voting state that plays a significant role in deciding GOP primaries.
“We’re going to defeat the cult of gender ideology and reaffirm that God created two genders called men and women,” Trump said standing in between South Carolina Gov. Henry McMaster (R) and Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC).

The former president also assured the crowd that he is going to stop biological males from playing in women’s sports, saying he wants to “save the dignity of women and save women’s sports itself.”
In addition to discussing culture war issues, Trump slammed the Biden administration’s energy policy, foreign policy and handling of the economy.
