Former President Donald Trump went after Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis (R) after the governor commented on Trump’s potential arrest.
In a statement, DeSantis condemned the probe into Trump’s alleged hush money payment to adult film star Stormy Daniels as a “manufactured crisis” with political motivations.

However, the governor failed to mention the former president by name and said he would not get involved.
DeSantis also made a joke at the former president’s expense, saying he doesn’t “know what goes into porn star hush money payments,” which insinuates the governor may think the payment actually occurred.
Trump slammed the governor on Truth Social and even brought up a potential scandal that may damage DeSantis’ reputation.
“Ron DeSanctimonious will probably find out about FALSE ACCUSATIONS & FAKE STORIES sometime in the future, as he gets older, wiser, and better known, when he’s unfairly and illegally attacked by a woman, even classmates that are “underage” (or possibly a man!), “Trump wrote. I’m sure he will want to fight these misfits just like I do!”

His comment was followed by a link to a story alleging DeSantis attended a drinking party with underage girls during his time as a teacher.
The rhetoric between Trump and DeSantis has continued to become more intense as the two are the GOP’s top candidates for the Republican nomination for president in 2024.
Over the weekend, the former president said he expects to be arrested Tuesday. However, he says the accusations concerning a hush money payment to Stormy Daniels are a “debunked” “fairytale.”
