Former 2020 Democratic presidential candidate Tulsi Gabbard blames the Biden administration for Russia’s attack on Ukraine Wednesday night.

The former congresswoman from Hawaii tweeted that the conflict could’ve been “easily” avoided if President Biden addressed Russian President Vladimir Putin’s NATO concerns.
“This war and suffering could have easily been avoided if Biden Admin/NATO had simply acknowledged Russia’s legitimate security concerns regarding Ukraine’s becoming a member of NATO, which would mean US/NATO forces right on Russia’s border,” Gabbard said.
Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL) responded to Gabbard tweet, calling her argument “simply not true.”
Gabbard previously told Fox News host Tucker Carlson the “sanctions don’t work” but “will increase suffering and hardship for the American people.”
“This is the whole problem with the Biden administration,” she said. “They are so focused on ‘how do we punish Putin?,’ that they do not care and are not focused on what is actually in the best interest of the American people.”
