The White House announced it was “posthumously” awarding a Medal of Honor Thursday to a recipient who was still alive — standing next to President Biden.
Marine Lt. Col. William Kerrigan, military aide to the president, made the unfortunate slip for “Staff Sgt. Earl D. Plumlee, United States Army, for conspicuous gallantry at the risk of his life and above and beyond the call of duty,” the New York Post reports.
Many online pointed out how gaffes and blunders like this are par for the course with Biden.
