President of the Catholic League, Bill Donahue, warned the “Todd Starnes Show” of hostility against Christians in the Biden administration.
Donahue was responding to a report the FBI attempted to infiltrate the Catholic church and recruit people to become snitches.
“You put it all together, you see that there’s some kind of warfare going on here to punish people of faith who stand up for the rights of their church and for the rights of the unborn,” Donahue told host Todd Starnes.
When asked whether the Biden Administration is emboldened to persecute Christians around the United States, similar to the Obama Administration, Donahue points out it might be worse this time around.
“It’s worse because I’ve never seen so many people who are so committed to the radical LGBT agenda in my life. They’re under the Obama administration, and it pains me to say that I am an Irish Catholic. And this guy in the White House, he calls himself an Irish Catholic. He’s a disgrace to the Irish and a disgrace to the Catholic Church. And he walks around with his rosary. You know what? Keep your rosary in your pocket. Just deliver with policies?” Donahue said.
“Why are you trying to eviscerate faith-based communities? Why are you trying to force doctors, Catholic doctors, to perform abortions and sex reassignment surgery?” Donahue concluded.

The following is a rush transcript from the Todd Starnes Show, which airs daily from noon – 3:00 p.m. EST.
TODD STARNES: [00:00:00] And if you’re in the area, you ought to swing by and check it out. Say hello. All right. Welcome back to the Todd Starnes radio program. We’ve been telling you about this breaking news. Congressman Jim Jordan, chairman of House Judiciary, now saying that they have evidence the FBI was attempting to infiltrate Catholic churches in the Richmond, Virginia, area and they were trying to recruit employees of the diocese to basically be snitches, much like when they infiltrated the mosques in New York City in the days after 9/11. It is absolutely outrageous. And I have to imagine our good friend Bill Donohue from the Catholic League is ready to blow a gasket over these kinds of stories. Hey, Bill, good to have you with us today. [00:00:44][44.2]
BILL DONAHUE: [00:00:44] Well, thank you. As a matter of fact, we wrote to Jim Jordan asking him to do this investigation. And thank God that we do have some people in Washington who are listening to us because we have written in the past to the DOJ, and the FBI, but nobody would answer us. But now we’re getting some results. [00:01:00][15.8]
TODD STARNES: [00:01:01] What exactly I mean, if you can divulge whatever information you can, but how did you guys find out that the feds were doing this? [00:01:08][6.7]
BILL DONAHUE: [00:01:09] Well, there was a report out that they were looking at certain people in the more or less the traditional Catholic Latin mass type of people. And then we started doing some digging for there. As you put that together with James’ revenge with it with Target blasting and vandalizing and destroying Catholic churches and pro-life crisis pregnancy centers. Some of them run by, you know, just a wide swath of Christians, some of them Catholics, some of the Protestant. And you put it all together, you see that there’s some kind of warfare going on here to punish people of faith who stand up for the rights of their church and for the rights of the unborn. And so that’s why we’ve been writing to all these people over the months. The only time we get any response is from Jordan. [00:01:55][46.4]
TODD STARNES: [00:01:57] And he’s going to be on this one and we’re going to have him on the show tomorrow. Bill, I do want to turn our attention to what’s happening at Walter Reed Hospital and get your reaction to the cease and desist letter that was sent out by this administration. [00:02:09][12.5]
BILL DONAHUE: [00:02:10] Yeah, I don’t quite understand it. I think archbishop wrote it all by now. And he’s a good man. He’s the head of the archdiocese, the military services. He said, whatever happened to the old adage if it ain’t broke, why fix it? I mean, the Franciscan Group has friars who have been running the services there for Catholics for four decades. Nobody’s complained. Everything is going along smoothly. Then for no reason. On March 31st, Walter Reed pulled the rug out from under everybody and just simply announces that they were going to let some for-profit group now take over. Now, they did allow Easter services and the like. I think they kind of got the message. I think it can be resolved. But here’s one more example. Here’s what bothers me, Todd. I’m obviously discharged from the United States Air Force, so I’m a loyal American. I served my time during the Vietnam War period. I was stateside. It was not Vietnam. But it bothers me when I see that I come from a family of Irish cops, law enforcement, and FBI personnel. I see people in the top echelons of the military, and the FBI becoming corrupt. This really hits home because we’ve always had some bad apples everyplace. There’s nothing to do about that. But the idea that at the elite level that you’re seeing people who are now, you have to wonder what what what is their goal at this point? Why don’t they just strictly simply stick to the business and defend the United States interest? [00:03:32][81.4]
TODD STARNES: [00:03:33] It makes absolutely no sense. And I don’t I mean, and I’d be curious to know the group because they talked about being inclusive and that’s always a red flag. [00:03:41][8.8]
BILL DONAHUE: [00:03:43] Yeah, well, inclusive always seems to be exclusive when it comes to people of faith, does it? We’re the ones that are being attacked. Take a look at what’s going on with the whole transgender movement and attacking people. Now, who’s speaking out for the rights of women and the like? What’s going on in different parts of the country? Violence has become really the modus operandi here of these people involved in the trans movement. And as I pointed out in my own research that people talk about, well, you know, transgender people are being victimized. They’re being treated with violence. That’s true. And guess who’s doing it to them themselves? I did the research on this and reported it last week. Overwhelmingly, they it’s called intimate partner violence. Isn’t that cute? Todd, IPD Intimate, intimate partner violence. Yeah, there is violence in the transgender community. It’s them doing it to each other. And I’m tired of Christians being blamed for this because that’s what the AOCs of this world did. And she blamed white straight men. Here about a week ago. It’s the left that is doing this to do. It’s not conservatives who by and large have been peaceful. [00:04:53][69.7]
TODD STARNES: [00:04:53] I mean, you and I have been in the trenches for a long time together. And it always bothers me that that. So many Christians are afraid to speak out and especially other leaders. What are you guys have you guys been successful in getting people to get up and get involved and get engaged? And if so, how did you do it? [00:05:12][19.5]
BILL DONAHUE: [00:05:13] Okay, we have been successful. Am I happy with the success we had? No, I want more of it because we have a long ways to go. Here are some of the things that we do. For example, if we’ve been offended by somebody, it could be a school administrator, could be an artist, or somebody on TV. It’s no different, it could be somebody in the DOJ. We will put out a statement, I will write and we will get the e-mail contact of the person or the person’s publicist or that or the chief of staff, whoever it might be the organization. And we will send it out to our list, which is huge. And then our people that will will will contact it. All they have to do is click on it, making it really easy for people to e-mail their outrage. And that’s how we’re able to get people jacked up and be able to win a number of these big victories. They don’t win all, but we do with a number of that way, and people want to participate. You have to make it easy and inexpensive, and that’s what we do. [00:06:08][55.6]
TODD STARNES: [00:06:09] I love it. Our folks. Catholic League dot org. That’s Catholic League dot org. You need to bookmark this website and check it out every day. They’ve got great material and great information and Bill and the team over there have just done a phenomenal job over the years. You know, Bill, you look at what’s happening at Walter Reed a couple of weeks ago, there was the story about the Merchant Marine Academy taking down the portrait of Jesus. We saw this on steroids during the Obama years. And I’m wondering now if Biden is feeling emboldened and now they’re going to start they’re going to be picking up the pace like Obama did back in the day. [00:06:45][36.3]
BILL DONAHUE: [00:06:46] I think it’s worse. It’s worse because I’ve never seen so many people who are so committed to the radical LGBT agenda in my life. Just deliver with policies? Why are you trying to eviscerate faith-based communities? Why are you trying to force doctors, Catholic doctors, to perform abortions and sex reassignment surgery? That’s in the Equality Act, which Biden is pushing, Biden is an absolute disgrace. [00:07:26][40.0]
TODD STARNES: [00:07:27] All right, Bill, appreciate the information. What do people need to do? I mean, are you guys launching anything with regard to Walter Reed? People can sign up, and get involved. [00:07:36][8.2]
BILL DONAHUE: [00:07:37] Well, right now, you know, we’re so overwhelmed with stuff coming from this administration and elsewhere. I’m happy that Archbishop Robio is handling it because I don’t know. But I know that he’ll get some results. We’re here for him if he needs us. But quite frankly, we have a couple of other things that were our irons in the fire, so to speak. [00:07:52][15.4]
TODD STARNES: [00:07:52] All right. Well, we’re going to get you back. Has been too long. And Bill, we really appreciate your perspective and the great work you’re doing. [00:07:57][5.2]
BILL DONAHUE: [00:07:58] And thank you for the great work you’ve been doing over the years. I love you. [00:08:01][2.7]
TODD STARNES: [00:08:01] All right. A good, good man right there, folks. Bill Donahue from the Catholic League, the Baptist, and the Catholic Get us together. We’ll get the country on the right path, right, Bill? Yes, the bill’s drawn anyway. All right. [00:08:14][12.8]
