‘Who’s Next?’: Rep. Jordan Asks After Feds Go After Trump Then Perry
Following the FBI’s pre-dawn, guns-drawn raid at Mar-a-Lago and the seizing of House Freedom Caucus Chairman Scott Perry’s phone, Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH) asked who the Biden DOJ will target next.
The Ohio congressman sounded the alarm on the “Todd Starnes Show” Wednesday.
“I’m kind of concerned about the feds just picking up Trump supporters and especially those of us in the media,” host Todd Starnes said. “I travel around with a small toothbrush and some toothpaste just in case my butt gets thrown into a federal lockup.”
Jordan said it is “really frightening” to look at the latest moves coming from the government against conservatives.
“Last fall, we learned the Justice Department’s using the Patriot Act against parents,” Jordan said. “Few nights ago, we had the Senate pass legislation that’s going to unleash 87,000 IRS agents on Americans, harass them about their taxes. And then, of course, it’s what happened to the private residence of the former president of the United States and likely Republican candidate for president in the upcoming presidential race. And then, of course, it’s followed up by taking the phone of a sitting member of Congress, a former retired Army general.”
He added, “So this is scary stuff, and yeah, who’s next is probably the right question to ask. And it’s it’s scary to think about it.”
Jordan said the Justice Department has already proven they’re willing to change evidence to go after political opponents and the House select committee on Jan. 6 has been caught in at least eight lies.
“Imagine how many other false things they’re telling us,” Jordan said. “So that’s really what, when you think about it, that even makes it more scary.”
