A Virginia firefighter saw the Bible that survived an SUV fire as a sign of God’s protection.
A Chevy Equinox caught fire last Monday, July 25, on Route 29, just 15 minutes south of Liberty University in Lynchburg.
The Rustburg Volunteer Fire Department posted images of the charred vehicle on Facebook after they were able to put out the flames.
“If you look at the fire damage of the car it is totally burned out, but inside was a Bible that was still intact and mostly unburnt,” the department wrote.
“I feel God is protecting firemen at scenes. I felt He … protected these people,” Lt. Eric Spitzer of the volunteer department told WSLS 10.
Many online were quick to give God the glory for the intact Good Book.
“Can’t love this enough!! Look at my God,” one woman wrote.
“His Word is fire proof!” another person said.
“That let’s us know that God is still in Charge,” someone added.
