CNN, the most profane and racist name in news, is pitching a hissy fit after President Trump refused to invite the network’s anchors to an annual presidential luncheon before the State of the Union address.
Why should the president be forced to break bread with people who want to destroy his good name?
“Trump, like presidents before him, typically invites anchors from all the major networks to dine with him at the White House in advance of his State of the Union address. The lunch conversation is considered off the record, but it gives the anchors a sense of the president’s state of mind before they anchor SOTU coverage,” wrote Brian Stelter, the chief of the network’s Anti-Fox Bureau.
The luncheon is supposed to be off the record, but typically the reporters don’t honor that agreement.
“Gave an OFF THE RECORD luncheon, somewhat of a White House tradition or custom, to network anchors yesterday – and they quickly leaked the contents of the meeting,” Trump wrote Twitter in 2019 “Who would believe how bad it has gotten with the mainstream media, which has gone totally bonkers!”
