Hello Americans. I’m Todd Starnes with News and Commentary next.
There’s a lot of noise coming out of Washington these days – but we cannot and we must not forget how we got to this point in our nation’s political history.

Someone tried to perpetrate a great fraud on the American people – The Russia collusion hoax. Someone tried to sabotage Donald Trump’s presidential campaign. And once he was elected, someone tried to stage a silent coup.
So while the Democrats get their political jollies by moaning about impeachment – we should focus on a very important matter: the investigation of the investigators.
I’m certain Attorney General William Barr will find great interest in something James Clapper said on CNN.
CNS News reports Clapper acknowledged President Obama made them spy on the Trump campaign:
“The message I’m getting from all this is apparently what we were supposed to have done was to ignore the Russian interference, ignore the Russian meddling and the threat that it poses to us, and oh, by the way, blown off what the then commander-in-chief, President Obama, told us to do, which was to assemble all the reporting that we could, that we had available to us — and put it in one report that the president could pass on to the Congress and to the next administration. And while we’re at it, declassify as much as we possibly could to make it public, and that’s what we did.”
Sciutto: “One issue I’m — (crosstalk).”
Clapper: “It’s kind of disconcerting now to be investigated for, you know, having done our duty and done what we were told to do by the president.
Former FBI lovebirds Peter Strzok and Lisa Page previously made similar allegations in a series of text message from 2016.
“Potus wants to know everything we’re doing,” Page wrote to Strzok.
The investigation is not yet complete – but do not be surprised if we learn that a former president of the United States was responsible for trying to sabotage President Trump’s election.
And that, ladies and gentlemen, would be a high crime and misdemeanor.
