Just weeks before the 2020 presidential election Facebook targeted Fox News Channel and specifically Tucker Carlson’s show page.
“Your page has reduced distribution and other restrictions because of repeated sharing of false news,” Facebook said in a statement posted on the “Tucker Carlson Tonight” page.
The page is not Carlson’s personal page — it’s a social media platform owned and operated by Fox News Channel.
“People will also be see if a Page has a history of sharing false news,” Facebook wrote.
The social media giant did not elaborate on what information they considered fake news.
“Today’s censorship by Facebook,” Carlson wrote. “It’s no coincidence that the election is just weeks away.”
