Google seems to be working overtime to make sure that Joe Biden, the presumptive Democrat nominee in 2020, gets elected after failing to stop President Trump in 2016, the senior tech writer at Breitbart told the “Todd Starnes Show” on Wednesday.
Allum Bokhari, the writer, pointed to how staggering it has been to watch how Breitbart’s visibility plummeted on Google over the past three years.
Bokhari said that in 2016, prior to Trump’s election, the conservative site benefited from exposure on the world’s most important search engine. But since Trump’s victory and inauguration, Google made “mysterious changes to its algorithm” and the website noticed a steady decline in visibility. Breitbart’s visibility on Google is down 97.3 percent since 2017.
He said the search engine completely buried the site when it comes to searches for Biden, the likely Democrat set to take on Trump in 2020. Google, along with other tech companies, have been accused by Republicans of being unapologetic in their left-wing biases.

Bokhari said the timing could not be more obvious that Google has the upcoming election in mind. He said he believes Google knows that Breitbart is one of the top conservative news sites and understands that “if they allow our links on stories about Biden and the Democrats to be seen by regular users using Google, they can have access to information that the mainstream media—the Democrat Party—that they, the left, don’t want people to see.”
Bokhari said that Google knows that it can influence public perception by offering a buffet of news stories that help protect Biden and damage Trump. And he said reports indicate that these tech giants have still not forgiven themselves for potentially playing a role in getting Trump elected. He said there were “meltdowns” in these companies and panic.
“They were blaming themselves, their own technology that they didn’t do enough to stop Trump.
The company recently faced backlash after allegations that it kicked ZeroHedge, the business website, off its ad platform and threatened to demonetize The Federalist.
Google holds a lot of power in the online publishing world. If the company decides to ice out a website from search traffic, page views—which equal income—plummets and these sites can be severely damaged financially.
“What’s happening at Breitbart is despicable,” Starnes said. “They’re one of the behemoths in the conservative news and journalism world. And Google has declared war on Breitbart.”
