Young freedom fighters are singing the Star-Spangled Banner and waving Old Glory in the streets of Hong Kong. They are pleading for the right to bear arms. They understand that the American flag is still a symbol of hope and freedom.
Meanwhile, American leftists believe the flag is a symbol of racism and hatred, privilege and oppression. American young people burn the flag, they desecrate the red, white and blue.
And across this nation lawmakers are waging a cultural jihad to disarm the American people.
“Hong Kong is a modern-day struggle between tyrannical rule and free democracy. Protesters stand bravely in the face of violence to combat China’s authoritarian regime,” Rep. Dan Crenshaw said on Facebook. “They remind us why we value our freedom in America, and should stand by their side as they fight for theirs.”
Colin Kaepernick, Megan Rapinoe and the Democrat Party could learn a thing or two from the oppressed people of Hong Kong who yearn to breathe free.
