Two prominent members of the House Freedom Caucus are calling on Attorney General Jeff Session to resign — citing the Justice Department’s handling of the Trump – Russia collusion investigation.

Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH) and Rep. Mark Meadows (R-NC) penned a blistering op-ed that was published in the Washington Examiner titled, “It’s time for Jeff Sessions to go, as shown by the latest FBI leak.”
“Attorney General Jeff Sessions has recused himself from the Russia investigation, but it would appear he has no control at all of the premier law enforcement agency in the world,” the lawmakers wrote.
“It is time for sessions to start managing in a spirit of transparency to bring all of this improper behavior to light and stop further violations. If Sessions can’t address this issue immediately, then we have one final question needing an answer: When is it time for a new attorney general? Sadly, it seems the answer is now.”
Jordan told Fox News Radio Host Todd Starnes there are a number of very disturbing questions that have yet to be answered regarding the Russia investigation.
“Why won’t the FBI and the DOJ just give us the documents we want?” Jordan asked.
He said there are 18 questions that must be answered for the American people.
“Did the FBI pay Christopher Steele for the Russian dossier and was that dossier taken to the FISA court to get a warrant to spy on Americans?” Jordan said on the Todd Starnes Show.
So what happens if the answer to both those questions is — yes?
“That means there are big problems at the top of the FBI,” Jordan said.
