Liberty University President Jerry Prevo and 1,000 students rallied for life outside the Supreme Court Wednesday as arguments in Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health on the Mississippi abortion law were heard.
Maggie Donica, a Liberty University student and Starnes Media Group intern, told the Todd Starnes Radio Show there is a lot of hope surrounding the case that could overturn Roe v. Wade, the landmark case that made abortion the law of the land in 1973.
“It’s an amazing experience for all these students,” Donica told host Todd Starnes. “What’s amazing, Todd, is that these Liberty University students are just sitting down and praying. While there is a lot of chaos going on around them a lot of these Liberty students are just going to God.”
Donica, who was the president of Liberty’s pro-life club for two years, said it’s a big issue for conservative Christians.
“I think it’s so important that Liberty showed up here,” she said. “As young people, we just really want to see a change in the world…to overturn Roe v. Wade is a historical event that we want to live through.”
