THE FIRST HOUR OF THE TODD STARNES SHOW

12:05Judge Jihad The state judge who on Monday set a $20,000 bail for five defendants arrested at a remote New Mexico compound where authorities say children were being trained to conduct school shootings has a history of issuing low bail to violent offenders. Judge Sarah Backus, an elected Democrat, ordered the two men and three women to wear ankle monitors, have weekly contact with their attorneys and not consume alcohol or own firearms while on bail. She said although she was concerned by “troubling facts,” prosecutors failed to articulate any specific threats to the community. Why is this judge being so lenient when lives could be at stake?

1:05 TN Dems Get Mean During a prayer breakfast at a Memphis church hosted by Blackburn’s Senate race opponent, former Gov. Phil Bredesen, Rep. Steve Cohen (D-TN) said “The big orange president, he’s going to come down here and he is going to endorse Marsha Blackburn, because Marsha Blackburn, if he says, ‘Jump off the Harahan Bridge,’ she’ll jump off the Harahan Bridge I wish he’d say that,” Cohen said in the audio obtained by The Huffington Post. The congressman later told The Huffington Post that it was “obviously humor” and he wishes Blackburn no physical harm, but he also wishes she wasn’t a “lackey” for Trump. Is there no low Democrats will go to when attacking their opponents?
