2:05pm –  What Shooting? A gunman wearing a ski mask stormed into a Nashville-area church on Sunday, shooting seven people, including the pastor, before attacking a church usher who ultimately subdued him with a personal weapon, Nashville police said. The shooting — which left a 39-year-old woman dead — occurred shortly before noon at Burnette Chapel Church of Christ in Antioch, Tenn., about 12 miles southeast of downtown Nashville. Police identified the shooter as Emanuel Kidega Samson, 25, of Tennessee, a Sudanese native who they said is a legal resident of the United States and apparently had attended worship services at the church in recent years. Police said Samson will be charged with murder and attempted murder. Todd wonders where the coverage was for this news story? 888-788-9910

2:30pm- Stand up! The National Quartet Convention in Pigeon Forge is showing their support for our armed forces and the national anthem. An emotional performance by the U.S. Army Quartet received an eruption of applause Monday night. “We get it a lot,” Sgt. K.C. Armstrong said. “This was like over the top.” This comes after the National Quartet Convention emcee called on the entire crowd to stand, which was a direct aim at NFL players following this weekends’ controversial protests. Clarke Beasley, the executive vice president of NQC, said, “The insufferable attitudes of these millionaire athletes who take a knee while the anthem is sung, while the flag is presented. When people gave the ultimate sacrifice.” Guest: Gerald Wolfe, board of directors for the National Quartet Convention.

1:05pm- Down the Drain? Through three weeks, viewership for national telecasts of NFL games is down 11 percent this season compared to 2016, the Nielsen company said on Tuesday. Nielsen said the games averaged 17.63 million viewers for the first three weeks of last season, and have dipped to 15.65 million this year. The Nielsen figures don’t include many of the Sunday afternoon games that are shown to a regional audience, but not a national one. The NFL ratings are in focus because of President Donald Trump’s suggestion that viewers are turned off by a protest against police brutality that began with quarterback Colin Kaepernick refusing to stand for the national anthem. The protests spread rapidly this past weekend following the president’s criticism of people involved. Next week’s ratings will be even more closely watched.

12:05pm- They Want Moore!  Former Alabama Chief Justice Roy Moore soundly defeated Sen. Luther Strange in Tuesday’s Senate primary runoff, overcoming heavy GOP establishment support for the incumbent, including from President Trump himself. The hard-fought Alabama runoff battle had pitted Trump against some of his most loyal supporters including former chief strategist Steve Bannon, former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin and a slew of House conservatives who all backed Moore. Despite his outsider image, Moore seemed to have the edge over Strange from the start. With 92 percent of the precincts reporting, Moore led Strange by 55 percent to 45 percent, a margin of more than 41,000 votes. State officials estimated a low turnout of between 12 and 15 percent of eligible voters.

12:20pm- Guest: Michelle Malkin, host of Michelle Malkin Investigates on CRTV.

12:30pm- For Mitch McConnell, whose allies committed vast resources to defeat Judge Moore, the loss was the third blow in one day to a man once seen as an unflappable master of political chess. Earlier Tuesday, McConnell was forced to call off a vote on the latest effort to repeal and replace the Affordable Care Act, his third failed attempt to muster 50 votes in the Senate. Hours later, Sen. Bob Corker (R-Tenn.), a McConnell ally, announced that he would not seek reelection in 2018, creating another open seat that anti-establishment conservatives are likely to contest.
