The chairman of the House Freedom Caucus said on the Todd Starnes Show that Americans should be very alarmed at what the Deep State has been doing in the dark shadows of the federal government.
“On a scale of one to ten with ten being the highest — it’s a ten,” Rep. Mark Meadows (R-NC) told Starnes.
Meadows was one of a number of House lawmakers who read a confidential memorandum detailing government surveillance abuses involving the Trump transition team.
“When I read this — I was disturbed that things had taken place that should not be taking place in our country,” Meadows said.
Meadows, along with other members of the Freedom Caucus, are calling on the House Intelligence Committee to release the four-page memorandum to the general public.
“I will say the reason why we need to make this available to the public is that we have to make sure a transparent government is first and foremost our top priority,” he said.
There is a growing mountain of evidence that suggests the Obama Administration weaponized the FBI and DOJ — with the intent of bringing down President Trump.
The North Carolina congressman refused to say whether the memo detailed criminal wrongdoing.
“Whether it’s criminal wrongdoing or just wrongdoing, there are individuals that will have to be held accountable. Their day of reckoning is coming — hopefully sooner than later,” Meadows said.
