A group of boys at Marshall Middle School in Virginia say they were told to remove their Make America Great Again ball caps.
Last week the school in Fauquier County held a fundraiser. Any student who donated a dollar to the cause was allowed to wear a hat to class. So, 14-year-old Logan Teague and his friends decided to wear their MAGA hats.
But at lunch time – school administrators had a change of heart. They said the hats were causing a substantial disruption causing tension between the kids. Eventually they made all the students remove their hats.
“I’m supporting our president. If that were to be a George Washington hat, I’m supporting that president. She wouldn’t tell us to take that off,” 13-year-old David Moore told Fox 5 DC.
Unnamed sources told the television station that the boys had been taunting Latino students. However, school leaders did not confirm those allegations and no one was punished.
“I think it was just excuses made because they wanted to see us get in trouble because we were wearing Trump hats.”
Joe Teague says his son bullied no one. He wore his hat in support of the president and he believes as a result his son was targeted.
“I just think that whenever President Trump comes into the equation, it just explodes and people, it triggers them somehow,” Mr. Teague told Fox 5 DC.
I’ve covered far too many of these stories – pro-Trump students under attack on school campuses across the nation.
For what it’s worth, I believe the boys and I believe they were targeted simply because of their political beliefs.
“I want my son, as well other students, to be able to go to that school and support President Trump, the President of the United States. There’s no reason they should not be able to do that,” Mr. Teague said.
It’s way past time to root out the Trump-hating leftists who have turned our public school classrooms into socialist indoctrination camps.
